Pet Loss and Spiritual Healing: Finding Peace with Help from the Angels (Part Two)
Pet loss is one of the most heartbreaking experiences we can walk through. For many of us, our pets are not just animals, they are soul companions and family. Their passing leaves a void not just in our daily routines, but in our energy fields, our hearts, and overall sense of balance.
In Part One, I shared my personal story of saying goodbye to my beloved dog, Bella, along with supportive tools for navigating the immediate waves of grief. That post offered practical spiritual guidance for the early days of loss, including grounding practices, emotional release techniques, and ways to connect with your pet’s spirit.
In this Part Two, I want to deepen the conversation. Here, we’ll explore how to prepare for a pet’s transition (especially when it’s approaching but not yet occurred), and how to call in divine support through Archangels Ariel and Azrael. We’ll also look at how grief, when tended to with love, can be alchemized, transformed from raw pain into sacred connection and spiritual growth.
Preparing for Loss: Is it truly their time?
When a beloved pet is sick and suffering, the decision to let them go can feel overwhelming, but it often becomes clearer as we witness their struggle. While this decision is never easy, knowing that you are alleviating their pain can bring a sense of peace amidst the grief. In many cases, our pets communicate with us telepathically when they are ready to cross over. These signs can be both obvious and subtle, and as pet parents, we often find ourselves deeply attuned to their needs and energy.
It's important to remember that pets are aware of the transition long before we consciously recognize it. The preparations for this moment take place on a soul level, both before and during the process, and even after the experience. Our animals are just as aware as we are, and they often work with us in subtle ways to help guide us through this difficult time.
I’ve only had one experience where an animal, after being told by two independent vets that it was her time, was brought to me by her human. I don’t take responsibility for “saving” her, as I’ve sometimes been credited. Rather, I see myself as having been part of her journey. She was meant to live and I was simply meant to be part of her story.
Animals come into our lives with purpose. They choose us, just as we choose them, and through that bond, we all receive the lessons we’re here to learn.
Calling in Archangels Ariel and Azrael for Divine Support
When Bella first became sick, I called upon Archangel Ariel, the Angel of Nature and animals, to support her during this challenging time. Ariel’s energy is deeply connected to the well-being of our pets, and I asked for guidance and healing energy to comfort Bella as she navigated her illness. Ariel filled the space with love and calm, supporting Bella’s energy and helping her feel at ease as she went through this difficult period.
As Bella’s transition time approached, I called upon Archangel Azrael, the Angel of Death, to help guide both Bella and our family through the final stages. I asked Azrael to offer gentle guidance in discerning whether it was truly her time to pass. Azrael’s calming energy allowed us to feel more at peace, knowing that Bella’s soul would be supported during her transition. I also asked that her passing be as gentle and peaceful as possible.
I believe that both Archangels played essential roles in ensuring Bella’s transition was filled with grace and tranquility. Their presence provided comfort to all of us, and I truly felt their loving guidance through every step of the process.
My husband remarked afterward that Bella’s passing was one of the most peaceful experiences he had ever witnessed. This was the first time I had called in angels so specifically to guide the process, and the peace we felt was profound. Bella left us quietly, without struggle, and surrounded by love, which felt like such a gift. I truly believe that the presence of Archangels Ariel and Azrael facilitated this peaceful transition.
If you're still feeling the weight of grief, even if it’s been some time since your beloved pet passed, please know this is completely natural. Grief has no timeline. The bond you shared was sacred, and it’s okay if the ache still lingers. You can call on Archangel Ariel and Archangel Azrael for loving support, even now. Their presence can help soften the pain, bring peace to your heart, and remind you that your connection to your pet is eternal; beyond time and beyond form.
Grief Brings Us Closer to Heaven
A dear friend reminded me that grief brings us closer to heaven. At first, this concept seemed almost paradoxical, how can something so painful bring us closer to something so peaceful? But over time, I’ve come to see the truth in these words. Grief has a way of opening the heart and soul, allowing us to feel the presence of those we’ve loved, and those who have crossed over, in ways we never have before.
When we grieve, we are walking between two worlds: the physical world of earthly experiences, and the spiritual world where our loved ones and pets now reside. This liminal space is where connection can deepen. As our hearts break open, we become more attuned to the subtle energies of the divine and we begin to feel the presence of those we’ve lost, often more intensely than we ever did in their physical form. It is as if grief thins the veil between worlds, allowing us to sense the eternal love that transcends life and death.
In moments of sorrow, we may call out to the heavens, seeking comfort, guidance, and peace. In doing so, we open ourselves to the divine energies that surround us. Angels, loved ones, and spirit guides often respond with gentle reassurance, reminding us that the love we feel is not bound by time or space. It’s in these moments that we can feel the embrace of heaven more intimately and we are reminded that death is not an ending, but a transition to a higher plane where love continues to exist.
Our grief, while painful, becomes a bridge. It connects us to the eternal and to the unseen forces that offer solace and healing. And in that connection, we are not only healing from the pain of loss, but also growing spiritually, deepening our understanding of love, connection, and the true nature of existence.
Alchemizing Grief: Turning Pain Into Sacred Connection
Grief isn’t something we “get over.” It’s something we move through and in doing so, it transforms us. To alchemize grief means allowing sorrow to shift into deeper understanding, spiritual connection, and ultimately, peace.
This transformation begins by fully honoring the pain. Let yourself feel it without rushing or judgment. Grief is love in motion, and it is sacred.
You can support this process by creating simple rituals: lighting a candle, speaking to your pet’s spirit, or placing a photo or item in a special space. These small acts allow energy to move and invite healing.
Grief can also deepen your spiritual awareness. Call on Archangels Ariel and Azrael to help you hold the heaviness with grace.
“Archangels Ariel and Azrael, guide me through this grief. Help me carry the love forward, and find light in the spaces that feel empty.”
Honoring your pet in whatever way feels true to you is part of your healing. There is no “right” way to grieve, only the way that allows your heart to feel, process, and begin to mend.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healing journey. May your heart feel the quiet presence of your beloved pet, and may each step forward be softened by love.
